Andrew Hallem, an adjunct, teaches English at Metropolitan State College of Denver. There, he is quaintly referred to as an "affiliate" faculty member. According to a local Denver news source, "Metro State College is investigating a professor who asked students to write an essay critical of Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin."
